There are three popular types of Accommodation:
1- University Accommodation: Provided by the University, so when students have any issues, the staff members will immediately support them with.
2- Homestay : The student shares a home with a host family, a local family, who seeks extra living by investing on inviting students to live with them. University accommodation team still provide advice on booking homestays. As well as students can also find trusted, and accredited Homestay agencies registered with the British Council.
A student will not basically be living with other campus students, so opportunity to socialize with university students may be reduced.
This type is usually common in the United Kingdom. It gives the student a valuable chance to engage more in the culture and live in a language-based environment, as he or she practices local language with the local family, gets to learn more about their culture, and traditions.
• You will either have a single or a shared room
• You will either have shared bathroom or en-suite room
• there are 3 types of meals routine :
a. Half board : Breakfast, and evening meals
b. Full board: Breakfast, Lunch, and evening meals
c. Self-catering: Gives you freedom of preparing your own meals, and have your own storage in the kitchen to store your own food.
3- Student residence : Allows the students to enjoy more privacy, also called private student accommodation, where students share a small room alone or with friends.
Student residence can offers more flexibility with dates, and gives the student many options of location and types of room.
